State Arts and Sculpture advisory board

National Arts and Sculpture Panel has been established in 1982 as a Panel of Sri Lanka Arts Council under  the Parliamentary Act No. 18 of 1952. This Panel occupies a vital place among the state institutions working for visual Arts.

National Arts and Sculpture Panel has been established for the Development, Promotion and Propagation of Visual Arts.

National Arts and Sculpture Panel is functioned two ways to promote folk appreciation of the public through the achievement of the above aims.

  • Direct activities for the Visual Arts.
  • Intervention for the development of Visual Arts.

Direct Activities for the Visual Arts

  • Divisional Projects based on Arts and Sculpture .
  • National Projects based on Arts and Sculpture.
  • International Projects based on Arts and sculpture.

Exhibitions, Workshop, Conferences and Publications are carried out under the above mentioned three categories

Intervention for the development of Visual Arts

  • Development of National Art Gallery
  • Restoration of welfare for the Artists
  • Establishment of a Museum for the Arts and Sculpture.
