World Television Day Commemoration Ceremony on 21st Nov. November 21st of every year has been proclaimed as World Television Day by the U.N. Laying the foundation stone for Johne de Silva Memorial Hall on 10th November The foundation stone laying ceremony of Johne de Silva Memorial Hall is to be held on 10th November 2014 at 10.30 a.m. auspicious hour by Hon. Mr. T.B.Ekanayake, Minister of Culture and the Arts.
The Ministry of Culture and the Arts and the Department of Cultural Affairs have taken necessary steps to construct t the John de Silva Memorial Hall in comply with the requirements of the dramatists under the development of Arts Centers as envisaged in the Mahinda Chinthana Future Vision.
